Firefighters Put Out 2-Alarm Blaze In Burbank

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A fire damaged a house in Burbank Friday, but the residents got out safely.

A two-alarm fire was reported at 11:19 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of West Spazier Avenue, Verdugo Fire officials said. Responding firefighters the garage on fire and wires down to the rear of the residence.

Burbank and Glendale firefighters were on scene got the upper hand on the flames by noon, Burbank fire Capt. Peter Hendrickson said.

Actor Justin Baldoni from CW's "Jane the Virgin" reportedly arrived on the scene to console his mother, who lives in the home.

No injuries have been reported. There was no immediate word on what caused the fire, which damaged the house and a garage. Several dogs and horses were safely evacuated to a neighbor's residence.
