3 Injured After Fire Erupts At Home In Carson

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Three people were hospitalized Thursday for treatment of injuries sustained in a fully-involved house fire that erupted in Carson.

The blaze broke out shortly before 6 a.m. in the 1200 block of Elsmere Drive.

Upon their arrival, firefighters located heavy smoke billowing out of the residence.

Two occupants were found trapped inside the residence.

Deputies and firefighters removed security bars from the rear window and rescued the trapped occupants.

Paramedics transported one resident, reported to be in cardiac arrest, and two others to Harbor General Hospital.

An update on their conditions was not immediately available.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames within 15 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
