Firefighters Extinguish Blaze At South LA Home

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters extinguished a blaze Friday that erupted within a home in South Los Angeles.

Shortly after 5 a.m., crews were sent to the 900 block of West 74th Street for report of a fire burning within a two-story residence, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located flames burning through the attic.

Thirty-seven firefighters were able to contain the blaze within just under one hour.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
