1 Injured, 2 Homes Destroyed In Montclair Fire

MONTCLAIR (CBSLA.com) — At least one person was treated for smoke inhalation and two homes were destroyed on Monday as firefighters battled a fast-spreading three-alarm fire at a Montclair recycling yard.

Firefighters responded to calls of a fire shortly before 3 p.m. in the 4700 block of State Street. The fire was fully contained by about 5 p.m.

Along with the two homes destroyed, a few garages and many cars could also be seen fully engulfed in flames.

An evacuation order for nearby homes was lifted by 6 p.m.

The condition of the person treated for smoke inhalation was not immediately known.
