Firefighter Suffers Minor Injuries In Jefferson Park Blaze

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A firefighter was injured Wednesday morning while battling a house fire in Jefferson Park.

The fire was reported around 5:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of W. 37th Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

When crews arrived on scene, they found heavy fire showing from the home's roof, which ultimately suffered a partial collapse.

It took 51 firefighters 37 minutes to knock down the blaze.

The injured firefighter was transported to a local hospital in good condition. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
