Crews Extinguish Fire In Vacant Granada Hills Residence

GRANADA HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Friday extinguished a residential house fire in Granada Hills.

The fire erupted shortly before 6:30 a.m. in the 11900 block of Elnora Place, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Upon their arrival, firefighters located a vacant two-story home engulfed in flames.

Fire teared throughout the attic of the home and a portion of the second story.

Crews were able to knock down the fire within an hour.

A preliminary investigation revealed the home is under construction.

High winds appeared to be fueling the fire.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crews were requested to assist with energized wires down in the back of the structure.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
