Fire Erupts Near Hoover High School In Glendale

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — A fire that erupted in the rear of a structure in Glendale was burning through vegetation.

The fire erupted late Tuesday afternoon on Ardmore Avenue and Kenneth Road near Hoover High School.

Aerial footage showed awnings and trees burning, reported KCAL9's Stu Mundel.

Firefighters were working to protect nearby structures.

Mundel said at least one transformer exploded blocks away.

The cause of the fire was not known.

No further information was immediately available.
