Fire Engulfs Large Commercial Building In El Monte

EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Flames tore through a large commercial building on Grand Avenue near Santa Anita Avenue in El Monte Saturday night. The building was believed to be a furniture store.

The two-alarm fire broke out about 10:30 p.m. Dozens of firefighters were on the scene. Witnesses reported seeing the flames as far as 12 miles away.

No injuries reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation
