Fire Destroys Preschool In Windsor Hills

WINDSOR HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Crews battled a second-alarm fire Saturday that completely ravaged a preschool in Los Angeles.

Firefighters were dispatched shortly after noon to the 3800 block of West 54th Street in the Windsor Hills area, LA County Fire Capt. Brian Jordan said.

The blaze reportedly started in the attic of the Little Angels preschool.

The family-owned school had reportedly been in business for 46 years.

CBS2's Greg Mills said arson investigators were on scene all day.

Little Angels is a school he said that the 90 students have had parents and grandparents attend.

The school is described as an institution by the neighborhood.

The school's owners said the main building was a total loss but they expect to be open for business on Monday in an adjoining building.
