Fiery Crash Splits Vehicle In Half, Sends Engine Into Pacoima Street

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A man is fighting for his life Thursday after a horrific crash in Pacoima.
The crash happened on Paxton Street, east of the 5 Freeway, just before 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
The impact of the crash was so intense, the vehicle caught fire, broke in half, and sent the engine block into the middle of the street. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
The driver remains hospitalized in grave condition.
No one else was hurt.
