Fibroid Awareness Week Is April 21-25
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Its Fibroid Awareness Week.
Dr. Bruce McLucas, founder of Los Angeles Fibroid Treatment Collective, visited the KCAL9 studios Monday.
Fibroid Awareness Week is April 21st-25th and 40 percent of women have fibroids.
Fibroids are non-cancerous (benign) tumors that grow from the muscle layers of the uterus (womb). In some cases, fibroids can be as large as a 5-month pregnancy.
