Female Passenger Involved In West Covina DUI Crash Last Month Dies

WEST COVINA (CBSLA.com)  —  A Los Angeles woman injured in a DUI crash last month in West Covina has died.

Sherry Yu, 31, was seated in the front passenger seat of an Acura Integra, which was making a left turn from eastbound Rowland Avenue to northbound Azusa Avenue on December 30 around 9:15 p.m.

A Honda Civic, which was being driven at a high rate of speed by 21-year-old Raymond Alvarado, was traveling west on Rowland and failed to stop for a red light at Azusa, authorities said. The Civic slammed into the Integra injuring the driver and passenger.
