Female Driver Flees On Foot After Crashing Car Into Guardrail On 5 Freeway In Burbank

BURBANK (CBSLA) — A car went up in flames in Burbank after the driver slammed into a guardrail.

The crash happened just before midnight on the northbound 5 Freeway at Buena Vista Street.

The CHP says the female driver fled on foot but was later caught and was taken to a hospital. The extent of her injuries are not known.

Investigators are trying to determine whether she was driving under the influence.
