Female Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Palmdale

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com)  —   Authorities said a woman riding a bike in Palmdale was fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday evening.

The accident was reported just before 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Longview and LePage Ranch Roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The unidentified woman was killed just east of Littlerock, near the Devil's Punchbowl in the southeast Antelope Valley, authorities said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, said Ed Pickett, supervising dispatcher with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
