FDA Announces Voluntary Recall Of 3 Homeopathic Products For Kids
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Three homeopathic products for kids are being voluntarily recalled over concerns the products contain belladonna, a substance that can cause harm at larger doses.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says it tested some products and "recovered varying levels of belladonna extract content from what is declared on the label."
The products impacted by the recall include:
• CVS Homeopathic Infants' Teething Tablet 135 Tablets with UPC: 050428424162;
• Kids Relief Homeopathic Ear Relief Oral Liquid 0.85 fl. oz. with UPC: 778159090639; and
• CVS Homeopathic Kids' Ear Relief Liquid 0.85 fl. oz. Lot: 33149 with UPC: 050428441633.
The FDA says the products were distributed nationwide.
