FBI Offering Reward For Information Regarding Man Suspected Of Killing Wife

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old man suspected of killing his wife at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

The man, Jason Earl Armstrong Jr,, has ties to Los Angeles and Orange counties.

The body of his wife, Iris Armstrong, was discovered on July 6th at the home she shared with Armstrong on Fort Bragg, the FBI says.

Iris Armstrong was a human resources specialist assigned to the 189th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division.

She was found stabbed and beaten, and the medical examiner ruled her death was caused by sharp and blunt force injuries.

The FBI says Armstrong allegedly killed his wife on July 1st, and a Federal arrest warrant was issued on July 8th.

Authorities also say Armstrong was seen on a surveillance video using his wife's debit card shortly after the reported murder.

He is described as a 6-foot tall black man weighing between 150 and 160 pounds.

He also has ties to South Carolina, Atlanta, New Orleans, Texas, and Phoenix.
