Fatal Crash Causes Small Brush Fire Along 110 Fwy In Elysian Park

ELYSIAN PARK (CBSLA.com) — A fatal accident Tuesday caused a small brush fire in downtown Los Angeles.

The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. on the northbound 110 Freeway at Stadium Way in Elysian Park, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The solo-vehicle flipped over and caught on fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The flames spread to nearby brush but were extinguished by 7:20 a.m.

Several northbound lanes were shut down until about 10:50 a.m.
