Family Rescued From Car Stuck In Swollen Wash In Perris

PERRIS (CBSLA.com) — A family of four is recovering Monday after being rescued from their car, which became trapped in a flooded wash in Perris.

Cal Fire and Riverside County firefighters were called out to East San Jacinto Road near Redlands Avenue at about 10:58 p.m. Sunday to a report of four people trapped in a car in moving water.

The car had apparently spun out, leaving the road and ending up in the wash, according to dispatchers.

Two swift water rescue teams were called out to the incident to help remove the four people - reportedly all women ranging in age from 5 to 43 - after the vehicle had gotten stuck in about eight inches of water.

No injuries were reported.
