Family Of Missing OC Woman, 27, Offers $5K Reward

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A $5,000 reward was offered Wednesday for information regarding the whereabouts of a 27-year-old woman who was reported missing in Orange County.

Erica Alonso went missing during the early hours of Feb. 15 after leaving her boyfriend's house in the City of Irvine.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Alonso is believed to have driven away in her 2014 white Honda Civic.

The vehicle was located in the Glenwood Park neighborhood in Aliso Viejo, about one mile from her home, in March.

According to neighbors, the vehicle had been parked in the area for quite some time.

Officials towed the vehicle and have processed it for evidence.

Deputies explained the Alonso family raised $3,000 to offer the reward. An OCSD reserve deputy donated an additional $2,000 to reach the family's goal.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Unit at (714) 647-7055 or (714) 647-7000.
