Family Of Man Found Dead On 91 Freeway Believes He Was Kidnapped

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) —  The family of a man found dead on the 91 Freeway believes he was kidnapped.

Deputies in Moreno Valley are looking for information on a possible kidnapping and released photos of two men and a car of interest.

KCAL9's Crystal Cruz spoke to the dead man's distraught family.

"It's been rough, you know. It's been rough. We're looking for answers, me personally the father, the family, friends," said the man's dad, Danny Lopez.

He suspects his 21-year-old  son, Vincent, was kidnapped on January 13.

Vincent's body was later found on the 91 in Riverside. He was hit by a car that didn't stop.

"I just know somebody took my son. It was something deliberately done. He wouldn't be on the freeway for no reason," Lopez said.

Lopez says his son called a family member to say he met a woman in a store parking lot in Moreno Valley and something was wrong.

Vincent wasn't heard from again.

"It hurts, it hurts a lot," Lopez said.

The CHP is still investigating how Vincent ended up on the freeway.

"We want to know exactly what happened to my son. Somebody out there knows something," Lopez said.

On Friday, Lopez's grandmother is celebrated her 88th birthday. She, too, wants answers.

"The first thing I said why couldn't this happen to me I'm so old and why him? He's so young but it's not up to me it's up to the Lord", said Amparo Lopez.

If you have any information on the possible kidnapping on the 13th or the fatal collision later that day on the 91, authorities would like to hear from you.
