Family Of Decapitated Man Pleads For Help To Find His Killer

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The family of an Inglewood man found decapitated last week pleaded for the public's help Wednesday to find his killer.

Robert Hollis, 75, was found last Thursday by his son, who told his mother the only way he could tell the body was his father was by his hands. Hollis' head has still not been found.

Hollis was legally blind and lived alone, but was a churchgoing man who sang in the choir. His family says they can't imagine why anyone would murder him in such a brutal fashion.

"Our beloved Robert was a vulnerable person," his ex-wife, Norma Hollis, said. "He could not see very well, he had a wonderful spirit, he was very trusting."

Police previously said they do not believe robbery to be a motive because Hollis was found wearing all his jewelry and nothing appears to be missing from the apartment.
