Experimental uberFRESH Meal Delivery Service Hits Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — UBER is expanding into meal delivery.

From Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 5, the ride-sharing service will be testing out uberFRESH in Santa Monica, the company said.

The experimental service will offer daily lunch options between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and a driver will deliver it in under 10 minutes.

The daily menu features special items from Tender Greens, 41 Ocean and Bay Cities for just $12.

Every meal will include a complimentary cookie from the new Westside shop, Cookie Good.

uberFRESH is not offered on weekends or Labor Day.
