Elevator Technician Killed In Beverly Hills Industrial Accident

BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A man who died in an apparent industrial accident involving an elevator at a Beverly Hills apartment building was identified Friday.

Police and firefighters were called about 8:50 p.m. Thursday to the 400 block of South Rexford Drive, near Olympic Boulevard, Beverly Hills police Sgt. Giovanni Trejo said.

Frank Barrile, 31, of San Bernardino, was found in the elevator shaft on the ground floor of the three-story apartment building, Trejo said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said.

Barrile was an elevator technician employed by Amtech Elevator Services, Trejo said.
