Elderly Woman Reported Missing In Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Friday to locate an 89-year-old woman who has been reported missing in Orange County.

According to the Newport Beach Police Department, Edna Parichan was last seen leaving a Chevron gas station around 4 a.m. in El Segundo. She has been missing since 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Officers said Parichan is driving a red Fiat with a California license place that reads: 6YGT4729.

Detectives described her as a Caucasian woman who has grey hair, blue eyes, stands 5-foot-2 tall and weighs 100 pounds.

She lives in Fresno, and was vacationing in Newport Beach with her husband.

Her reason for leaving and her destination remain unknown.

Officers added she is in need of heart medication, and is considered to be an "at risk" missing person.
