Elderly Montebello Woman In Serious Condition After Attempted Robbery, Stabbing

MONETEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — A woman in her 60s is suffering from life-threatening injuries on Saturday after she was stabbed by an unidentified suspect during an attempted robbery on Friday night.

At about 8:20 pm on Friday, Montebello police officers responded to call on the 600 block on North Hendricks Street. Upon arrival, they found a woman in her 60s -- the victim of an attempted robbery -- had been stabbed.

Authorities said on Saturday that the woman's injuries are life-threatening.

The suspect was a stranger to the victim and was described as a male Hispanic teenager, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, wearing a light colored jacket and dark jeans.
