Elderly Couple In Glendale Find Man Fatally Shot On Their Front Lawn

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com)   —  Authorities said that a couple they described as elderly discovered a young man fatally shot on their lawn Saturday morning.

The couple said they discovered the man just before 4 a.m.

Police dispatched a unit to the home located in the 1600 block of Midway Street.

They found the unidentified victim -- described as a man in in his 20s or early 30s -- shot multiple times.

The couple told police the man was a total stranger.

Police are combing the area for witnesses and evidence.

The victim was  pronounced dead at the scene, said Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

Police said it was the first murder in Glendale in 2016.
