Man Robs El Monte Gas Station With Shotgun For Just $60

EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Police released surveillance images Thursday of a man who robbed an El Monte gas station with a shotgun for just $60.

The robbery happened last Thursday at 11 a.m. at an Arco Gas station, 9824 Flair Dr., El Monte police officials said.

The robber pointed a blue steel shotgun at the store clerk and demanded cash before driving away in a 1998-2000, 4-door Nissan Altima that was possibly gold colored. Police say he got away with $60 cash.

The robber was described as a Hispanic man with a medium build between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-4, 170 pounds and black hair. He wore a white polo shirt with tan stripes, cuffed blue jeans, black sneakers with white soles and sunglasses.
