East LA Grandfather With Alzheimer's Reported Missing

EAST LA (CBSLA.com) — A family is worried Sunday about their missing grandfather, a man with Alzheimer's.

The family of Jose Rizo said he also suffers with high blood pressure and needs his medication.

Rizo was last seen yesterday, around 6:30 p.m., in the East LA area.

He was last seen wearing black or navy blue pants, a green and black checkered fleece jacket and a black baseball cap.

His family says he has a very prominent birthmark on his left cheek below his eye.

The man's granddaughter told CBS2/KCAL9 that search dogs were unable to pick up Rizo's scene.

"We looked for him all last night and all day today and have no new information," wrote his granddaughter. "We are extremely worried."
