Magnitude-3.1 Earthquake Rattles Near Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A magnitude-3.1 earthquake shook near Huntington Beach early Monday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the temblor struck at 3:40 a.m. with it's epicenter located three miles west-northwest of Huntington Beach.

Around 10:44 p.m. Sunday, a magnitude-2.6 quake struck about four miles west-southwest of the area.

At this time, no injuries or damage has been reported.
