3.6 Earthquake Hits Near Temecula

NEAR TEMECULA (CBSLA) — A minor earthquake struck near Temecula Saturday evening, rattling nearby towns.

A magnitude-3.6 earthquake struck roughly eight miles west of Anza at 4:59 p.m. Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was originally reported as a magnitude-3.7  but later downgraded.

The earthquake was felt in Hemet 11 miles away and dozens of small aftershocks were reported.

There were no reports of injuries or damages.
