DUI Suspect Leads Officers On Pursuit

CASTAIC (CBSLA) -- Police were in pursuit of a white sedan on the 5 North Freeway Saturday night. The driver was suspected of DUI.

California Highway Patrol said there appeared to only be one person in the vehicle.

Police tried to stop the driver with a spike strip but that did not work.

The chase started in the Montebello area and went past Castaic into the Grapevine.

Speeds were about 45 miles per hour throughout the pursuit.

It's unclear if the suspect has been apprehended.
