Driver Killed After Vehicle Plowed Into Inglewood Church

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — One person was killed Thursday morning after a vehicle plowed into an Inglewood church.

The accident was reported just after 12:30 a.m. at North Eucalyptus Avenue and West Juniper Street, police said.

"I was down the street in my car, and I see this black car flying up the street and the police are high spread chase right behind them," a witness recalled seeing just before the vehicle careened into the International Anointed Ministries building.

The driver, 27-year-old Dewan Harrison, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. The building sustained significant damage.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
