Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver, Suspect Arrested

PACOIMA (CBSLA) — Officers were investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Pacoima Thursday night.

The crash happened at about 8:16 p.m. near the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street.

Police said an SUV, described as red or burgundy in color, fatally struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.

The car was last seen headed eastbound on the 188 Freeway from Glenoaks.

The suspected driver of the vehicle was arrested a short time later.
