Driver Rescued From Overturned Cement Truck Near Homes In Hollywood Hills

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A cement truck still occupied by its driver went over the edge of a roadway in the Hollywood Hills area Thursday.

The truck went about 10 feet off the side of the 2400 block of N. San Marco Drive around 12:10 p.m., LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

The driver was still in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Firefighters eventually stabilized the truck and extricated the driver, who was brought up to the road via a "litter basket" , according to Stewart.

The patient - described only as an adult male - was believe to be in stable condition and was transported to a nearby hospital.
