Driver Escapes With Minor Injuries In Ontario Crash With Train

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said one person sustained scrapes and bruises Sunday in an early morning crash involving a car and train.

The Ontario Police Department said a green, 2000 Buick Century crashed into the stopped train on Bon View Avenue just north of Ontario Boulevard.

Although unclear when the collision occurred, the incident was reported about 5:12 a.m., authorities said.

When first responders arrived on scene, they freed the driver of the Buick, described as a man in his mid-30s.

The unidentified man was taken to an area hospital for treatment but has since been released.

Police said he was cited for allegedly being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
