Driver dies after crashing into tree in Jurupa Valley

A driver died after crashing into a tree in Jurupa Valley late Saturday. 

Riverside County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Riverview Drive and Rios Road at around 8:30 p.m. after learning of the crash, according to a statement from the department. 

Upon arrival, they found one car that had collided with a tree. The driver, who has not yet been identified, was declared dead at the scene. 

Investigators have not yet revealed if drugs or alcohol are considered to be factors in the crash. 

As their investigation continued, Riverview Drive was closed between Rios Road and Peralta Avenue for several hours.
