Drive-Thru Dunkin' Donuts Opens In Downey

DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — The City of Downey Tuesday celebrated the opening of the third Dunkin' Donuts to hit Southern California.

The shop, located at 9070 Firestone Boulevard, is chain's first store with a drive-thru window in the state.

To commemorate the occasion, the first person in both the walk-in and drive-thru lines were rewarded with free coffee for a year.

Additionally, the first 100 guests in the walk-in line were given a Dunkin' Donuts tote bag filled with special items from the brand.

Guests were treated to a special California-inspired donut and received a free medium hot or iced coffee.

Dunkin' Donuts opened its first LA County location in Santa Monica on Sept. 2 to long lines and excited fans.

The company has also opened a store in Modesto, and plans to open at least seven more in the next eight years.
