Dramatic Video Captures Good Samaritan As He Helps Save Woman Trapped In Car As It Catches Fire

HEMET (CBSLA.com) — The quick action of a good Samaritan may have helped save a driver trapped in a burning car in Hemet.

Dash-cam video showed a man rushing over to a black sedan on Highway 74 near Warren Avenue just after midnight.

The footage captured the man as he broke open a window and opened the door to try to pull the driver out.

But, she was stuck, and in the meantime, the car started to catch fire.

Minutes later, police and firefighters arrived, and put out the flames.

Then, paramedics pulled the victim out of the vehicle.

There was no immediate word on her current condition. The crash remains under investigation.
