Dramatic Clip Captures Avalanche Surging Down Alaska Mountain

JUNEAU, Alaska (CBSLA.com) — A dramatic clip captured an avalanche in Alaska as it surged down a mountain last week.

The avalanche was caught on tape by Carole Triem, who initially reported hearing an unusual noise, according to the Associated Press.

Moments later, Triem witnessed the avalanche surging down Mount Juneau in Alaska.

Triem captured it on cellphone video in a clip that spanned 70-seconds, according to the wire service.

The avalanche hit a fence and a parked car, but no one was hurt.
