Dodgers Trade Sergio Romo To Tampa Bay

LOS ANGELES   (CBSLA.com)  —  The Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday traded right-handed pitcher Sergio Romo and cash considerations to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Romo, who was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Thursday, went 1-1 with a 6.12 ERA in 30 appearances with Los Angeles this year.

The Dodgers signed Romo last February to a one-year $3 million deal.

They were hoping to get the Romo of yesteryear -- the Giants bullpen ace who played for all three of their World Series champion teams.
