Dodgers Replace Third Base Coach With Ron Roenicke

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers have hired Ron Roenicke to replace Lorenzo Bundy as third base coach for the remainder of the season.

Roenicke was fired in May as manager of the Milwaukee Brewers after 4 ½ years. He played in the majors from 1981-88, including parts of three seasons in the Dodgers' outfield. The 58-year-old was a longtime coach for the Angels, serving as their third base and bench coach.

Bundy will move to the dugout, where he will remain the outfield coordinator. He has been on the Dodgers' major league staff since last year.

The team announced the move Monday.
