Dodgers Reinstate Van Slyke, Place Hatcher On 15-Day DL

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated outfielder Scott Van Slyke from the disabled list on Monday.

Van Slyke had been out with an inflammation in the mid-back, and last saw action on May 30 in St. Louis. He has batted .264 with two home runs and 14 RBI through 34 games in 2015.

Van Slyke made a total of three rehab appearances with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga as part of his recovery, going 4-for-11 with a double, a home run and two RBI.

The Dodgers made room for Van Slyke by moving relief pitcher Chris Hatcher to the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain, retroactive to June 15.

Hatcher is 1-4 with two saves and a 6.38 ERA through 27 appearances for the Dodgers this season.
