Dodgers Radio Announcers Monday And Steiner Sign New Deals

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers broadcasters Rick Monday and Charley Steiner have signed multi-year deals to continue their 12-year partnership on the team's flagship radio station.

The team announced the deals on Thursday.

Monday began broadcasting for the Dodgers in 1993. The 70-year-old played eight seasons with the team, helping them win the 1981 World Series. He also played for the Cubs and Kansas City-Oakland Athletics during his 19-year career.

Steiner is in his 12th season doing play-by-play for the team. The 66-year-old broadcaster previously worked for ESPN and the New York Yankees.
