Twitter Reacts To Key Moments Of The Dodgers' 4-3 Win Over Washington Nationals
A wild night in Washington D.C. has ended and the Los Angeles Dodgers are on to face the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS.
As the game wore on and each play became more and more important, Dodgers fans and the entire Twitter universe were overcome with emotions on multiple occasions during a tense and trying nine innings of playoff baseball.
Here were some of the best reactions to the biggest moments of the night.
Jayson Werth Thrown Out At Home - Leading 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning, with Jayson Werth on first base, Ryan Zimmerman doubled to left. Nationals 3rd base coach Bob Henley decided to send Werth home where he was thrown out with ease.
That might be worst playoff "send" I've ever seen. Didn't think you could be thrown out by 50 feet., Grandal ate a pizza waiting for Werth.

Waving Jayson Werth home cuz why? https://t.co/S4cBvL3R7n

Oh, and if you look carefully, you see Jayson Werth finally reaching home behind Pederson.

Joc Pederson Home Run - Following the Werth tag out at home, Joc Pederson came to bat in the next half inning and tied the game up for the Dodgers with an opposite field home run off of Max Scherzer, chasing him from the game in the process.

Carlos "Chooch" Ruiz RBI Single - The Dodgers acquired Carlos "Chooch" Ruiz in a trade for long-time catcher A.J. Ellis in a move many fans criticized, but Ruiz won them over with a big time hit to give the Dodgers their first lead of the game.
CHOOCH DELIVERS! ????

Carlos Ruiz singles and scores Austin Barnes from second! #Dodgers now LEAD, 2-1! pic.twitter.com/btsGH5QlnH
Carlos Ruiz, pinch hitting for Chase Utley, might have just won this NLDS on the 8-yr anniversary of Matt Stairs' HR.
— Joe Giglio (@JoeGiglioSports) October 14, 2016
Controversial trade of Ellis for Ruiz just payed dividends
— Jerry Kime (@15munson15) October 14, 2016
So *that's* why you trade for Carlos Ruiz.

Justin Turner Two-Run Triple - The Dodgers most clutch performer came through when they needed him to most. With two men on, Turner laced a triple to deep center over the head of Trea Turner and drove in two runs to give the Dodgers a 4-1 lead.
I'm not a big yell-at-the-TV guy, but my whole neighborhood heard me when Turner hit that triple.

Justin Turner is a bad, bad man. 4-1, Dodgers.

Chris Heisey Two-Run Home Run - With the Dodgers appearing to be in control, Dave Roberts called on Grant Dayton to get the Dodgers through the seventh inning. Instead, he gave up a 2-run homer to Chris Heisey and gave the Nationals new life in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Chris Heisey, who is here because he is one of the best pinch hitters in baseball, just hit a pinch hit home run. 4-3. Stay tuned.
— Chelsea Janes (@chelsea_janes) October 14, 2016
Chris Heisey's homer was the first pinch-hit homer in franchise history.

Kenley Jansen Enters Game In 7th Inning - After Dayton allowed the home run and walked the next batter, Roberts made a stunning decision and called on his closer Kenley Jansen for a potential three-inning save.
Kenley Jansen is in with nobody out in the 7th??? My lord, the swings of emotion over the last 45 minutes or so.
— Mark Zuckerman (@MarkZuckerman) October 14, 2016
Does Kenley Jansen have 9 outs, or does Dave Roberts have other plans? Harper on deck, followed by Werth and Murphy. #NLDS
— Jesse Jester (@JesseJesterOne) October 14, 2016
Jansen already in?!???? Wow I think it's a huge mistake, but I'm not a manager????
— Jorge Carbajal (@j_carb3508) October 14, 2016
Whatever happens I 100% agree with having Jansen being in the game right now
— DJ Cleary (@DJCleary5) October 14, 2016
Clayton Kershaw Enters To Close In 9th - After throwing a career high 50 pitches, Jansen was relieved by Game 4 starter Clayton Kershaw, who threw 110 pitches just two nights prior in Los Angeles. Kershaw came in and got out Daniel Murphy and Wilmer Difo with two men on base to send the Dodgers to the NLCS.
Look who's coming in! #Kershaw pic.twitter.com/EM0DThZkgX
— MLB Network (@MLBNetwork) October 14, 2016
Kershaw v. Murphy. One run game. Runners on first and second. This is wild!
— Jamal Collier (@JamalCollier) October 14, 2016
Kershaw to try and close the door.. this is great drama. Love it.
— Bruce Feldman (@BruceFeldmanCFB) October 14, 2016
What a game. That's an unhittable pitch to close it out. Kershaw at his best there.
— Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) October 14, 2016
Clayton Kershaw gets his 1st major league SAVE to win the series AND started in games 1 & 4...Legendary WOW #postseason
