Dodgers' Carl Crawford Placed On 15-Day DL

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed left fielder Carl Crawford to the 15-day disabled list after injuring his left ankle Monday against the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday.

Crawford left the game after his ankle gave out chasing down a Chris Heisey double into the left-field corner in the eighth inning.

With the absence of Crawford, Matt Kemp, who has been benched for the last five games, will play left field Wednesday and Andre Ethier will play center.

In the last 22 games, Crawford hit a hot .362 with four home runs.

Dodgers will call up corner infielder/outfielder Jamie Romak from Triple-A Albuquerque.
