Director Brett Morgen Discusses New Doc. 'Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck'

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) —  Academy Award-nominated director Brett Morgen and Gretchen McCourt, of Arclight Cinemas, visited KCAL9 Saturday morning to discuss new HBO documentary "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck," about the life of the late Nirvana frontman.

Morgen was hired by the musician's family to make the film and obtained full, authorized access to home movies, recordings and images.

The film premieres on HBO Monday night and will also play in Arclight Cinemas this weekend.
