Detectives Seek Public's Help In Locating Missing Man, 87

NORWALK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities asked for the public's help Sunday in locating a missing 87-year-old man.

Joe Arteaga was last seen about 12:10 p.m. Saturday leaving his home in Norwalk, according to a written statement by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

According to detectives, Arteaga left his home driving a black, four-door, 1999 Jeep Cherokee with California license plate 4EUY630.

He has not been heard from since.

Arteaga is Latino. He was last sen wearing a United States Marine Corps baseball cap, USC red jacket, blue jeans, and eye glasses.

He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. He is balding, but has grey hair and brown eyes.

A Silver Alert was issued Sunday morning.
