Detectives Hope New Composite Sketch Can Help Them Solve August Murder In Highland

HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com)  —  Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Homicide Division are hoping that someone in the public recognizes a new composite sketch from an August murder.

On Saturday, August 30, 2014 at approximately 12:44 a.m. deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to a shooting call in the 25000 block of Paloma Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies located the victim, Michael Martinez, 19, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The composite was created from witnesses descriptions. The suspect is identified as a black male, in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.
