Derek Fisher Asked About Vacant Lakers Job

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Derek Fisher's playoff run came to an end Saturday night when Oklahoma City lost in game six to the San Antonio Spurs.

It could also have been the final game of his career as he contemplates retirement.

If Fisher does walk away, a job coaching in the NBA could be a possibility.

Although Fisher has said he hasn't talked directly with either team, his name has come up as a potential candidate for both the Knicks and Lakers vacancies.

On Sunday, Fisher was asked about the possibility of coaching his former teammate Kobe Bryant.

"I hadn't thought about that much," said the 5-time champion. "But when you're brothers, you're brothers, regardless of what capacity it's in. If something like that were to happen, we're brothers so we'll figure it out."
