4 Detained After Deputy-Involved Shooting At Studio City Home

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA) – Four people were detained followed a deputy-involved shooting in an upscale residential neighborhood in Studio City Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred as Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies were serving a warrant at a home in the 11500 block of Dona Teresa Drive at 7:24 a.m.

There was no immediate word on who fired the shots, the deputies or the suspects. No one in either party was injured.

Following the shooting, a SWAT standoff ensued after deputies believed one of the suspects may still be holed up inside the home. In total, four people were detained.

"They were conducting a search warrant, upon (serving) the search warrant, they were involved in a deputy-involved shooting," Deputy Eric Ortiz said at a mid-morning briefing. "There was four individuals at the locations. The four individuals were not hurt or injured, along with the deputies."

It's unclear why or what type of warrant was being served. The suspects were not identified.

The scene was still active as of 11:30 a.m.
